Howdy folks! I thought I would give you a little update on how the first couple of months has gone with our new homeschool curriculum, Build Your Library. Click here for our reasons for choosing this curriculum.

We started at the beginning of September and things are going really well! We began with 1st grade even though my kids are in second and fourth grade age wise. Grade 1 began with ancient history so I thought it was a great place to begin the curriculum.

The curriculum includes lessons for history, mythology, literature, science, art, and language arts. Not all are done everyday or on the same day. It has lesson plans for five days a week but I am able to condense it down to three days a week to better suit our schedule. read more

Last Wednesday, the girls and I went to a concert in the park. It’s a good thing we aren’t required to sit and listen. They each had different vantage points to listen to the music. And we crossed something off our summer traditions list! read more

Hey everybody! As an unschooling family, I don’t have too many craft and lesson type posts to share with you. But I thought I would do a little photo dump and show you some of the other things we do as part of our schoolwork.

With the awesome weather, the girls have been playing outside so much. It’s such a nice change after being stuck in the house all winter. Fofo is becoming quite the archer with her target Jason set up in the backyard. read more
